No Stopping Me ... well

Well almost. We (Elizabeth and I) took the opportunity to go to Santa Fe and ABQ today since there was a garage sale going on in our car barn this morning.

I wanted to drop Emily's camera off to get it fixed while it is still under warranty. There is a little over two years left on the warranty but I know how I procrastinate. Hopefully they will return it soon.

We also went to ABQ to look for a helmet that fits me properly. We went to Skating Supply, Inc. on Eubanks. Mission accomplished! Several thanks to Steve for helping by phone with the navigation. And thanks to Elizabeth helped me pick it out. I basically got a different brand but same style helmet as the Pro-Tec that Emily is the proud owner. But this one is RED and slightly larger. :) Also there is a small different in the back. But other than that it is pretty much the same. So there is no stopping me now

Well at least not until I started feeling bad on the way home. I started getting stomach pains and even felt like upchucking. But I held out 'til we got home then it hit the fan so to speak. I must have picked up a stomach bug that is going around. Oh well. I feel a bit better right now. Hopefully by tomorrow I will feel a good bit better.

Seems that Gwen and April sold off a good bit of stuff today. Nice to get rid of stuff and not have to throw it away. Though I am not opposed to that if push comes to shove.

Good Bye Pink! Helloooo Blue - Update: Bummer

Ain't he pretty? Rumor (UPS tracking) has it that this puppy is in ABQ waiting to be hauled up the hill to LA.

Freelining....oh the possibilities.

Well it arrived. I order the largest helmet based on my hat size and circumference of my head. According to the information on sizes I should have had room to space. Yep that is right it DID NOT fit! Too small?

On the bright side it will work for Emily a new helmet. :) Oh well. I will try to find one at a store near here so I can try them on first.

Busy

Been real busy at work over the last week or so. Though I do not feel I have been
working late or anything. Keep it real.

Wednesday I stayed home sick with a head cold that I suspect came from Elizabeth. She missed school one day because of it. So in the afternoon on Wednesday Emily had a bit of a disappoint so to cheer her up I grab some inline roller skates I borrowed from Steve awhile back and joined Emily in the privacy of the garage to skate. I even borrowed one of her helmets (the pink one) that fit and used it. It made me "feel" safer but being 44yrs old and out of shape then safer is just a state of mind. ;)

I did not do bad if I do say so myself. I have never been on inlines before. I used to dream about it back in the Eric Heiden days of speed skating. So my roller skating skills helped a bit but there is no toe stop so let's just say I hugged a lot of stuff round the garage so I could stop safely.

Well, this was not much but mejor que nada.
